Tapping Into Your Creative Pulse

Healing Art Workshop  (May 19, 2004)

Instead of featuring the usual "Lamma Artist of the Month", let's find out this time how YOU can live the life of a Lamma artist, at least for one day!

First, get yourself over to Luk Chau - just over the hill from Yung Shue Wan. Then, spend a day relaxing, meeting a few like-minded individuals, having great fun, making up some artworks and being really amazed & surprised at yourself by how creative you can become in the right environment & atmosphere!

I've just spent a fun day at the beginner's workshop Tapping into the Creative Pulse in the GreenHouse with inspiring art teacher Deirdre Butler, famous acupuncturist Jerry, plus a Chinese and an Indian lady (non-Lammaites). Lunch and all materials were provided. Click here for some details of these easy-going, free-spirited art workshops. So what are you waiting for? Give Deirdre a call or email her and find out what YOU can create in a single day! I'll be back in July, we might even meet up.

Attention, don't step into wet paint!

What a cozy and inspiring place

1st exercise: meditate together, then create the image that formed in your mind

Lamma-Gung's cut-and-paste: Modern technology vs. nature/emotions

2nd exercise: Look deep into each other's eyes and create what you saw: Diamond with blindfolds

A tree, colourful mist and candy flowers

Looking into Lamma-Gung's eyes: Pink flower & healer's feather, surrounded by computer-like newsprint.

Lamma-Gung's creation: 2 fiery-golden eyes with a 3rd (chakra) eye & feathers, forming an Indian totem. The lady accepted it as a present.

3rd exercise: Sit/lie on art paper, draw an outline & fill it in: "Ecstasy"

"Healing"

?

Lamma-Gung: "Heat"

Group exercise: Create an artwork together WITHOUT talking: "Teepee".

Vegetarian lunch: Yummy salad and veggie pasta

The fairy godmother farewelling us from her green enchanted castle

Back to the dull, colourless "real world"...
