Collage

Torn-up magazine pictures, scrap paper and newsprint glued onto canvas, canvas board, paper or wood to create colourful, textural landscapes. Often layered with acrylic paint and/or watercolour pencil.

6. Money Cats

Auspicious symbols of wealth and good luck

Each cat wears a golden bell around its neck and holds a large gold coin inscribed with a lucky phrase, like 'open up the luck' or 'ten million gold coins'. Usually to be found sitting on a high shelf facing the front door of homes and businesses, the cat raises one paw in a beckoning gesture, inviting the money luck to pour in.
