Frankfurt/Oder East Germany:
Two couples in their late thirties are set in their way, with nowhere to go.

Radio host Chris and his second wife Katrin don`t have much to say to each other anymore. Uwe, friend of Chris, slaves away day and night in his own hotdog stall, but forgets his wife Ellen and the kids.

Small surprise, that Ellen and Chris, looking for change, come closer. But they are caught in the act, and as a result everyone is shaken from their stupor.

Their bogged-down life gets a jumpstart, they question their position in life, and suddenly it becomes clear that small miracles are possible.
