Since then, the Govt. has proposed building a complete new town in the ex-Lamma Quarry, almost doubling Lamma's population. These advanced, detailed plans are also in deep hibernation.

The most recent Govt. plans this year talk about 150-200 yacht berths in the ex-Lamma Quarry.

We'll be watching the progress and expecting the likely abandonment of these plans as well in years to come, like before.

Harry Harrison's cartoon, created and auctioned off for $19,000 at the Lamma Fun Day, emailed to me by the artist upon my request. This might be the very first time it shows up online anywhere.

3 years ago, my very first experiments with generating AI DEEPFAKES when it was still all-new and almost unheard-of. Not deepfakes of people, but creating realistic-looking Lamma scenery using simple text prompts.

Somebody called them "utterly bollocks waste of time, prescient of the coming destruction of truth, freedom and democracy in the world with deepfakes" after fooling a surprising number of people, thinking they were real photos and trying hard to locate the pictures, generating numerous comments.

175 Facebook Likes for my sunset shots, almost exactly 10 years ago. A personal record, I think. The summer season of amazing subsets is almost over now, a long, grey, cooler season is starting. No more rooftop sunrise/sunset shots for a few months.

This year's theme is to promote Lamma culture, artists and artisans to attract visitors in hopes of supporting local businesses.
All proceeds from the market stall fees will be used for promotion (online & offline), decoration such as outdoor lighting.
